WHAT IS HEALTH AND WELLNESS COACHING?
Health and wellness coaches assist clients in improving their overall health and well-being by encouraging healthy behaviours such as weight loss, fitness, nutrition, stress management, adequate sleep, and positive psychology interventions. In addition, health and wellness coaching aims to foster sustainable lifestyle changes for clients.
Unfortunately, many individuals struggle with obstacles that impact their well-being, such as uncontrolled stress, excess weight, an imbalance in life, low energy, poor fitness, inadequate levels of positive emotions, or medical conditions, which makes it challenging for them to invest in their health and well-being on a daily basis, leading to preventable illnesses.
Although many people have good intentions and earnestly attempt to live healthier lifestyles, they often struggle with implementing these changes. This is where coaches come in, providing lifestyle and psychological knowledge, skills, processes, tools, mindsets, and support to help individuals achieve autonomous and lasting lifestyle changes.
Coaches help clients build resources such as self-empathy, self-motivation, self-awareness, mindfulness, new insights and perspectives, confidence, optimism, and resilience, ultimately leading to lasting changes that become embedded in their lives.
